More info on the project

Off the coast of Pissouri Bay, the hidden reef of Jubilee Shoals reveals a surprising underwater world of towering rock formations, caves, and rich marine life. Ranging from sunlit shallows to dark cave systems, the shoals host a unique ecosystem shaped by cooler waters and rare coralligenous habitats.

Through divers and researchers, the documentary explores the site’s remarkable biodiversity—from corals and sponges to turtles and rays—while uncovering its still largely unexplored nature. It ultimately highlights Jubilee Shoals as a rare Mediterranean oasis and a reminder of the importance of protecting fragile underwater environments.
